My kid is obsessed with cars. I don't mean like the normal healthy obsession most kids have...he eats sleeps breathes and talks CONSTANTLY about cars.But he is NOT a fan of reading.This is the first book I have ever seen him carry with him EVERYWHERE. The first night he had it I actually had to tell him to put it down and go to sleep when I caught him reading by flashlight at midnight.I have a feeling if we had spare sheet metal and welding tools lying around he'd have built a car by now.
Beautiful illustrations, it's adorable. We also loved that everything is accurate. My husband is a mechanic and he's thrilled about this one! It is rather lengthy and detailed, which is fine for older kids and/or reading out loud in portions over a few nights. Its also really high quality material!
Great book for young people (kids) with great illustrations.Warning, there is one statement that is not correct when talking about what a carburetor does.But the rest of the book is very nice!
Bought as a gift for an 11 year old boy. I feel it may be a little too childish to interest him but you never know. Maybe it will draw him into actually learning something.
My 6 year old son loves this book! It is very detailed and illustrations are labled. Even my 8 year old daughter enjoys learning what all the parts are called and following the story. The story was longer than I expected, but it held their interest.
My granddaughter loved it.
I am a car enthusiasts. This was a give for a young boy who enjoys cars. I thought the story was very good and the illustrations were detailed and properly presented.
