Not useful for Histo. There are barely any histo stuff in here. Total waste of money. Cell biology feels just like a reading from an unknown textbook. Do not religiously study from here, instead go for the textbook. I really never used BRS at all as it didn't help much. Reading my textbook was much easier and I felt more confident in highlighting and studying from my textbook.
Excellent for reviewing Ross' Histology. Questions are too single-level thinking to be useful as examples of board questions.

Clear and concise...great for review or test prep
Great study resource: 9/10While a select few examples could be updated or edited to be easier to understand this book was a great resource as I prepared for the NBME subject exam on Histology and Cell Biology. Great questions at the end as well as a practice test that is somewhat representative of what I saw on the real exam. Overall I thought that the end of chapter questions were more similar in caliber to the real test than the practice test, but that is just my opinion on the matter. What I really liked about this book was the great color pictures it has and level of detail that it goes into. As far as topics go, it covered all that I needed to know to do well on the subject exam.
