I downloaded this cookbook for a buck and discovered an amazingly user-friendly collection of recipes and notes. This is not the kind of cookbook you'd put on your coffee table. Rather, it's the kind you use to make your grocery list and actually cook from. So many easy and tasty recipes, including lots and lots of non-meat recipes! Quick, using few ingredients, just like it promised; and not boring or bland. My copy is digital, but any hard copy would be quickly dog-eared and frayed by constant use.
I had pre-ordered mine and it just arrived today! With a little one at home, these fast, 5-ingredient recipes are PERFECT and I already have most of the ingredients in my pantry and refrigerator. In fact, I was able to whip up the egg muffins immediately. Next up is the turkey bolognese! I like the advice on which items freeze especially well and how to re-heat them at mealtime. What a fun surprise to get in the mail today.
Love this cookbook and the simple and healthy recipes. I hate cooking because my kids always whine/bother me while I’m trying to cook. I’m usually afraid to try new recipes because they distract me and it never turns out right, but this cookbook has lots of simple and delicious recipes to choose from. I love all the veggie sides like roasted asparagus, lemony green beans and the spicy broccoli.
I purchased this book as a tool for my busy clients, who see me for weight management, prediabetes, diabetes and heart health nutrition instruction and coaching. They love it!
I really like this cook book! It has so many different recipes and all it takes is some bravery to try them. It is simple with having 5 ingredients or else (aside from seasonings). The only thing I don't like is how the cover of the paperback loses shape from just sitting around. I also wish there were pictures as this is always a plus. The recipes are easy enough to follow.
I bought this book after getting newly married and wanting to sharpen up my cooking skills but also wanting to take on simple and quick ideas. I bought 2 books prior to this (I won't name) and they were misleadingly complex. This book is 100% true to the simple and quick meals. I made spaghetti for the first time and used the meatball recipe in this. The first time... oh man it took me an hour... The next time I made the dish I completed the entire dish and was sitting down eating in less than 20min. That's amazing ! The dishes are great and nothing "weird" like most healthy claiming books say. I also really enjoy that this book does give serving suggestions and nutritional information on the dishes.I highly recommend this! My favorite meals so far have been the meatballs, chicken parmesan and smoothies!5/5 Stars
The book has good receipes but steps are sometimes not well thought out. Often the dressings are not enough for the amount of vegetables or meat to cook. Steps are not detailed enough.
